Region of Lombardy releases strategic planning of SME grant calendar for the two-year period 2022-2024.
This choice, in contrast to the past, was made to give support to Lombard companies, enabling them to "play it forward," effectively plan investments and develop winning and competitive strategies for the future.
In fact, with the communication of 16 measures for as many contributions, which will be activated in stages starting from September 2022, SMEs will be able to organize according to their goals and needs to make the most of them.
FINANCIAL RESOURCES
The Region has allocated 325 million for 16 new contribution measures, 4 of which are being activated as of September this year and 9 more by the first half of 2023.
FOCUS AREAS
The focus areas, for which support grants will be given, are as follows:
- Planning and Simplification for Business
- Innovation
- Credit access
- Circular Economy
- Digitalization
- Internationalization and Attractivity
- Chains and ecosystems
- Energy efficiency
- Skills
- Business development
The first to be activated will be funds to support theinternationalization of Lombardy's SMEs and the business development and a new Financial instrument for venture capital interventions in favor of start up and scale up deep tech; transversal to all the initiation of an accompanying action for the skills development of enterprises to maximize the effectiveness of investments consistent with the S3 smart specialization strategy for research and innovation.
This is followed by interventions to support microcredit, digital transformation of business models, attraction of foreign investment, strengthening the competitiveness of supply chains and production ecosystems in Lombardy, SME participation in international trade fairs, and theenergy efficiency Of the companies' production facilities.
This planning is a great opportunity for Lombard companies, not only to benefit from the funding but also to simplify the planning and management of business strategies for their own growth and development in the coming years.
